How to get rid of an Earache Naturally and Quickly

Just like other parts of our body, ears are also not spare from developing viral and bacterial infections. These infections are common in both children and adults; however children are more likely to develop ear infections.

Whatever the causes of infection may be like wax buildup, upper respiratory infections, food allergies, environmental allergies, nutritional deficiencies and internal injuries, one thing is for sure. The infection will be accompanied by pain, the earache.

While it is very less likely to experience pain in the ear, but once it occurs it can put a person through restlessness and agony. Earaches are indeed unbearable and discomforting. In this article, we will discuss natural ways of reducing pain in the ear, and get rid of earaches naturally and permanently.

Use Mango Leaf Juice to Curb Ear Pain

Mango leaf extract is a quick and effective treatment for alleviating earache. It contains compounds that have painkilling and relaxing effects, therefore it has been found helpful while dealing with painful ears.

Simply crush few mango leaves, freshly plucked from the trees and extract their juice. Heat the juice slightly to make it warm.

Pouring a few drops of this warm mango leaves juice into the infected ear will instantly relieve an earache.

Use the Tea Tree Oil for Aching Ear

If you are experiencing earache due to infection, you can subside it with the help of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is an amazing natural anti-septic and it helps considerably in doing away with infections.

Simply putting 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil in the infected ear will help you easily get rid of an earache.

Onion is an Astounding Remedy for Earache

This vegetable that is famous for bringing tears to the eyes, possesses therapeutically properties that can help wipe of your tears too. Did you know that? No right? Well onions have been enriched with medicinal compounds that deliver health benefits to the human bodies. And one such benefit includes eliminating infections in different parts of our bodies. Likewise, onions can be used to curb pin in the ears. It has medicinal uses too, including for the treatment of an ear infection.

Simply chop one small onion, put it in a bowl and microwave it for one to two minutes. Allow it to cool and then strain out the onion juice. Put two to three drops of the juice in the infected ear, leave it for some time and then turn your head to let it drain out of your ear.

You can also bake an onion for half an hour, cut it into halves and put one half in a thick cotton cloth. Place the cloth on the infected ear for five minutes. Wait for 10 minutes and then repeat the process.

Treat Earache with Warm Olive Oil

Olive oil is helpful in clearing out the wax obstruction in the ears that eventually leads to growth of fungal and bacterial microbes inside the ear, and cause infections. By simply pouring few drops of warm olive oil in the infected area can help you relieve your condition and get rid of earache fast.

Mustard oil can also be used alternatively, if olive oil is not easily available.

Garlic for the Treatment of Earache

Garlic has antimicrobial properties and natural pain relieving qualities, making it highly effective in the treatment of ear infections. There are a few ways to use garlic as a home treatment.

Simply heat some olive oil and cook few cloves of garlic in it, until they turn black and the oil turns brownish. Strain the oil and let it come down to a room temperature.

Put into the ear drops of this garlic infused oil and rest for five minutes. This will not only help in treating pain but also the infection. Repeat twice a day until infection is completely gone.

Apple Cider Vinegar

No one is unaware of Apple Cider Vinegar’s killer ability to terminate microbes, both viral and bacterial. Vinegar creates hostile environment for the germs inside our bodies, causing them to die.

This is why when we talk about treating ear infections naturally, apple cider vinegar deserves a special mention.

Dilute vinegar in equal amount of water and soak a cotton ball in this solution. Forming an ear plug with this soaked cotton, put it inside the infected ear for a couple of minutes. Remove the cotton and lay down on the opposite side now so that all the solution trickles out of your ear. Repeating this method twice a day is very beneficial for earache and infection.

Earaches? Use Radish

Radish also helps to relieve severe earache.

Chop some radish and heat it in mustard oil. Allow it to cool, then strain. Now, put few drops of this oil into the aching ear and rest for five minutes. After that, lie in the opposite direction so that the oil comes out of the ear.

Use Heated Salt Compress

Take 4-5 tablespoons of salt and heat it in a pan until it becomes a bit brown in colour. Now, wrap it in a clean cloth. Press it over the infected ear for 2-5 minutes every day. Repeat it till the pain completely subsides.

You can also use any other warm press on the infected ear to get rid of earache.
